care
La Prima Gioielli jewellery is entirely handmade by Italian master goldsmiths in 18-karat gold, with gemstones chosen for their beauty and rarity. To preserve its beauty, La Prima Gioielli recommends following a few simple guidelines for wear and care.
We recommend removing your La Prima Gioielli jewellery for the following activities: washing your hands (soap residue can dull it), housework (detergents, corrosive products and knocks can damage the stones and the jewellery itself) and sport (salt water, chlorinated water, sweat and knocks can damage the stones and the jewellery itself).
Avoid exposing your jewellery to intense heat and sudden changes in temperature, which could permanently damage the gemstones. Do not wear La Prima Gioielli jewellery while applying perfume, hairspray or make-up, as their chemical composition could damage the gemstones.
Storage
When you are not wearing your jewellery, it is a good idea to wrap it in a soft cloth to prevent oxidation. Store each La Prima Gioielli piece separately in its original box or in a suitable protective case (otherwise pieces can scratch each other), away from humidity and sources of heat. We always recommend fastening the clasps of bracelets and necklaces to avoid tangles.
Cleaning
We recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned from time to time, ideally by your trusted jeweller.
If you wish to clean your jewellery yourself, wash it in lukewarm water with a mild soap and a soft brush, then rinse it. Dry it with a soft, clean cloth, gently dabbing rather than rubbing.

If you have any doubts or problems, we recommend not wearing the piece and having it checked at the store where you bought it.
